i keep dreaming about ytd..

A dream last night

recently all the dreams i dreamt of... as I turn out to realise.. are images of the future.
For example.
I dreamt of standing on a high place and looking out at a patch of grass... with buildings and a small road leading out..
and i was thinking.. was a weird dream.. i would nv go to such placesss and have been been to those.
and as it turned out.. IT was... bangkok. and I was standing on the BTS station and looking down. the high building was Sukhumvit hotel.

So.. I should make a note of my dream. In case I really do get a chance to see them. I got proof! ahah!
so last night, I dreamt of me in a shopping mall. ok, in the dream.. I feel that I am in bangkok's shopping mall.. a rather luxourious one. and we were buying something like clothes or ribbons.
and they are all in gold cashmere or gold lace. I was happily choosing cos it's cheap and pretty.
I rem that all the items ard us are gold in colour and I grabbed a few pieces and showed it to... this i cant cfm, was it Evon or Alex?

The Past, The Present and the Future

2011 passed like a breeze mi-annnnnn.. by the time I got to breathe, it more than passed half the year.
Gosh.. looking back at the 8mths, I seriously have got to do some serious soul searching.
I haven done 10 out of the 10 things I told myself at CNY's annual make-resolutions day!

And looking at the remainders of the year, I am 120% positive that the resolutions got to be postponed again...

Only 18 days away from wearing a ring on the 4th finger and 19 days away from flying to BangKok.
I'm Kinda sure...that the trip Thrills me more than the ceremony.. Opps!
Nahh.. my dreamish kind of Getting Wedded would be somewr overseas.. facing the wide wide SEA and the blue blue SKY.
like at the Spur of The Moment type.

I keep asking myself..wad Would I like to do b4 all the commitments and liabilities kick in?
hmm.. I thought to myself that I would do sthg I haven done b4.. 1 thing a day for everyday since 39 days ago.
and till today.. i've done.. NONE? hahaha!

BUT yet, the BIGGEST and most valuable lesson I take away from all the preparation.. is that..
nthg is more impt than.. having ur husband there on the day of the ceremony. HAHA.
Having said that..U can conclude that mine have none of those beautifying, dramatic, dreamy pictures.
A very homey and simple and nicey sit down meal is 1-of-my-kind :)
Wad more shd we ask for?

oh ya.. of cos after ur partner has agreed that u can go Europe with ur frens for 2 mths.. HEHEHE..

can i stop complaining? i really hate to complain..
like spoil brat who cant even put in a little bit of heard work..

ok, mayb i can tell u the gd part of the work?
is that the heaviest of my very heavy work load comes in on the 16th of every month, when i have to do consolidation for the entire group.

in Oct, when the subsidiaries send us their data on the 16th OCTOBER, a friday..
my team was really nice to me.
they knew i had to stay back till real late to finish the consol cos they are all coming in the next day to start working on the data, they waved goodbye happily at me at 5.30pm SHARP.
they grin and smile while i was crushing.
i will never forget the day they said BYE and CYA TMR with all the work done grins.

I felt like jus leaving.

AND u know wad the greatest sacrifice was? 16th Oct was Alex's birthday!
hai.. and i thought, ok, mayb the date will shift ard for different months.
maybe it's like 2nd friday of the month they have to submit their data.
BUT NO! i overheard them say that it will always be on the 16th of the month!
congrats. so as long as i remain in this job dear, i will never get to celebrate ur birthday for u..
i suggest u go surf jobsdb and jobstreet and gov.jobs now for me..

oh ya..mind u..the subsidiaries submitted their data late this month..so i'm still in the office now..
and ....it is a friday nite. nice. i luv my job.

arh! here comes another incident.

on wed..the day i jus came back from work.. (i took MC on tue cos fell sick)..
the doc gave me TWO days MC but i decided that there was jus too much work so i will come back and finish up.
so i asked L how to start the fixed asset write off? I asked her on the Monday that she came back to work..
Me: er..L, how to start with the fixed asset (FA) write off? wad shd i do firsT?
L: looks through the soft copy files in the F Drive..i mean the drive is called F drive meaning Finance Drive. No scolding vulgarities ok. den she found a file, open it..
L said,' u jus follow the tab in this file. u see through ALL these and try to figure out wad i was doing and follow'

ok, and so i did. but the file's 1st 3 tabs were tedious. i had to extract the info from the SAP system and copy and paste them in the first tab.
in the 2nd tab, i had to read the SAP description and allocate them into their cost centres, update the accum depreciation and match each one to the SAP to make sure that not one is missed out.
in the 3rd tab, i had to collate the minor assets and allocate to the cost centres.
in the 4th tab, i had to pick out the computer items from the 3rd tab.

den i was stuck. hmm...so i think think..decipher decipher.. cannot.. been working on it since monday..took me 2 days to reach here.
so i wento ask L..
Me: i've filled in to the 4th tab. so now how to continue?
L looked at the work done and said: oh, actually u dun need to do all these tabs! u jus need to fill in the 8th tab only. it is a combination of all the tabs. this is the only one worksheet i need. the front are all my casual workings last yr.

GOOD. i totally cant accept this fact.
My face went black. I gave her a 'huh? wad the f? look'
it was 5pm when she told me that. I spent another 2hrs doing up the 8th tab.
so in total, i spent 12 hrs (on mon i worked till 8 plus pm) + 12 hrs (on wed) + 8hrs (thurs) + 2hrs = 30hrs on sthg that only required 2 hrs.

DOUBLE CLAPS + STANDING OVATION.

the most amazing thing is.....at the end of 2 hrs, she told me...
L: actually it's ok. if u cannot finish den leave it to next yr.
WOAH! best answer!

den today L asked: so CL, how is the fixed asset thing going on? done?
WOAH! if i really listened to her on thurs on the 'it's ok, leave it to next yr' and stopped...den..i'm DEAD.

oh pls. someone bless me with lesser complaints to complain.

i jus had a poisonous apple during lunch...so now i'm feeling really drowsyyyy...
zzzZZzzz...
the forest outside is full of poisonous fruits..

anyway so many complaints recently.
i really give up on my job. and i give up on my colleagues.
they always have so many traps for me. i'm young and silly.
how CAN I TRUST THEM???

last fri was really the ultimate...
when i was closing the corporate books, i ALREADY asked the accts executive y she didnt recognise the loan to one of our subsi..

me: E, rem to put in the loan and the interest into this month's account ok. (i even went all the way to call up the other colleague to do up and send us the interest to accrue)

E: huh? i asked the Finance Mgr C alr. she say to recognise at year end only.

me: orh is it? (cos E and C are gd lunch mates). i dun wanto doubt E u know. she has worked here for a FUCKING FIFTEEN YEARS.

so i TRUST her. and i did everything else to close the accounts. i tell u the steps:
- look through ALL the bank recons. we have 15 of them.
- look through all the receipts and check the SAP entries (abt 40 of them)
- look through all the journal entries (about 40 of them)

there after, look through ALL the SAP accounts to see if we missed out anything or didnt reval any account. each and every one of those.
next, upload to consol system and reclass and adjust accordingly. u can imagine the whole process if it takes me 1 to 1.5 days to complete jus this process.
den do up the flash report which shows the PnL results (one day).

den give my FM, she look through, come and ask how come nv take in the loan.
so naturally..of cos i jus wanto clarify that eh..
Me: eh, i asked E alr..she say she ask u n u say recognise at end of year rite?
E: huh? u where got ask me? wad loan? aiya..i misunderstand. u nv ask clearly i thought u asking abt another loan
Me: ??!!! wad is another loan? there is only OnE loan?!!
Sweat.

so if u dunno how to protect urself..good luck to u..

on this very special daeee, orh, we chose to celebrate it on a Sat night cos she gonna celebrate with some other special ppl on the actual night...=)

we bought lots of stuffs from J8! and this big balloon that we all lurve!

the start of the year is really BAD!
i neva felt like a weeekkk could have lasted soooo long!
now it feels like a month has passed since the 4th jan, my first day of work...

the DEADline for my new job, n i really mean DEAD...only gave us 3 working days to complete!

that's y now den got time to finish my blog post!

n it's weird how come there is a craving for alcohol when ppl feel stressed... super feel like gulpping down 2 pints now! feel high and shiok den go bury my head into my pillow! monday there was not much work n i work till 9pm...tues work only came in at 4pm so i worked till 2330 cos someone say i MUST tie the Trial BAlance by that day! wed and thurs u know lar...12am...

WAH! if 2009 was very bad for mi,...this start of the year work schedule sure doesnt hint that 2010 is gonna b any betta...! wah seh...this time siao liao...must go thailand bai bai liao!

n my SIS jus came back from thailand and she keep telling how good the shopping was...so HOW LIAN!

KoreA 2009...whitey x'Massss

finally i finish uploading the fotos for korea onto the blog..the first 9 days of 2010 was more than a nightmare for mi. even now, at this hours, on a saturday, i am still in the office!
WHO set such an imaginary deadline to report??!!! wad a ******!

we reached Koreaaa! at 7am in the morning after taking the night flight on korea AIR.
HATE iT! dun have my personal TV! they kept showing Documentaries on the shared screen... the food..2 options, western or hotpot rice! but of cos not in a hot pot..in microwave bowl! but quite yummy...

our 1st stop is at the park outside the south korea president's house. it was FREAKING colddddddd...! and we din even see his house! we were fotographing at his park..the dumb dumb tourguide oso didnt tell us..dun follow FIVE STAR tours!!!

daddy on the cablecar..he loves to take personal photosss! this is a pose! dun get tricked!
look at the double chin! but this set of clothing is perfect to cover the fat beer belly!

one of the fotos i love best..the back ground is beautiful in fotos..but when u are there..it's jus rocks! but u can see that even the rocks behind are in different shades due to them being far or further away..it's awesome! lurve it!

outside our hotel in the morning of the 2nd day..the hotels are near nthg else cos we are not in the city..so at night...u can only watch tv! or shop at the hotel's mart and eat eat eat!

SNOWWWW!!! the back is a patch of the beautiful white snowww! for everyone to play!
if it was snowing more heavily, we could have played banana boat and jet skiing in the snow ground!

so we went to play on this tube..wr u haf to drag it up a slope and sit in it. it's really FUN! den u can slide down the slope..wooo wooo wooooo woooo....

ohhhh..not forgetting the food in KOREA! every meal is almost either this, which is the soupy type, or the BBQ type...so the clothings will be very smelly..but it's quite healthy too..cos it has alot of vegetables..n they love squid! every meal oso have squid! come to think of it..it's really yummy!

n the rice is GREATTTTT! i finish every bowl of rice. it's pearl rice..and i neva had so much kimchi in my life..ahah! korean food is 100 times more yummy there...

it's ChrisTMas DAY!!!! n we are at the skiing place! i could still rmb it was ZERO degree celsius..

and it was snowing lightly..there were many colours and the stage was playing loudly many korea band songs..it was this moment that i fell for korean songs..

it was the perfect surrounding for xmas..i wished u were ALL there to see it and feel it.

thou it was my first attempt skiing..i did perf3edtly! very talented! ahha..din fall AT ALL!

when i see someone in front of me, i will automatically 'SIAM' and see? i know how to turn alr! and squeeze thru 2 pple n refuse to fall down ! ha!

look at the back of the foto! there are 3 slopes excluding the beginner's slope..it is really high up and the experts are super ZAI!

oMG! it's all the fatSSSS!!! when i first saw this, i almost fainted! but it was SO YUMMY i kept gobbling up the meat...it's really gooddd..! esp in the cold cold winter! makes u really warm!

yes, LAUGH! this is at the top of the SKiiing mountain and it is cold shit! we are wearing really thick and puffy jackets and still freezing..couldnt last for even 10mins, and we left quickly...

even the face is numb and solidified...

we stayed in the hotel beside the skiing mountain and this is the view from my window!

it will all be so goodddd...until ur room is like mine...heater NOT WORKING!!!

it was freaking hell freezing! and i slept by the window..and i can feel the wind through the window! i was seriously jus waiting for morning to come!

but look at this...how can u nort melt???

we are back in SEOUL! n it started snowing again..the grounds were really slippery..we are a small tour grp with only 16 pple...snow is amazingly awesome! i lURVE it! jus...need more clothes and thicker shoes! and gloves and caps and everything! ha!winter fashion is beautiful too!

wish we had the chance to wear flaunt them!

at myeong dong! ok, the smile is awkward cos cold seh! but it opens through the night on saturdayS!!! i'm so gg there this summmer!!!!

ahha...bet my parents miss the merr-go-round! not been up there for many yearsss!!look at how happy papa is! lucky the horse didnt break! the last time i wento genting, they dun allow adults to take merry go round ok! no joke!

after LOTTE world we went dongdaemon for shopping..shopped till 2am lar! so tired den the cab driver still wanto CHOP us! dun on the Meter..started quoting prices like 80buck! it's totally crazy!

luckily we oso bargain until 45bucks only! phew! think tourist good to chop...

i miss the snow so much! it's like the storybooks u read when u were young! or the movies that u watched produced by disney..they really do exist......

on our last final day at the airport, we bid goodbye to this helper from our tour...he is not paid, jus surviving on selling us the photos and tips..he has been helping wit our luggages, adding food for us during meals, even helping us to cook!

TaiWan is my 2nd homE! it's my escape heaven from all these SHIT.
since i visit taiwan more than i visit JB, i couldnt b happier to b there...anytime baby!

u see this KPO guy sitting beside us..i wanto slp den he keep talking to me! if i pretend to slp isnt that OBVIOUS i'm not interested to talk to u??!! a taiwanese studying in aust..

upon arrival..we hurry hurry rush to mun-mun at SHILIN night mkt..i'm so happy to eat my fill..n now that i look at these photos..i look quite thin then horrr..i think i became fatter now..SHIT!

the next day we discovered this yummy jap restaurant!

look at the sashimi!!! absolutely delicious! it's super thick and long and fresh!

and each plate is only NT30 (1.5 sing). and the scallop! beyond words....

neva forgetting AH ZONG MEE SUA @ xi men ding..everyday must eat one bowl! we keep ta-baoing it every time we are in xi men ding...bring it to singapore LEHHHHHH!H!H!H!H!H!H

look! we are having our bowl of MEE SUA after our haircut..after we each finish a bowl, we took away another bowl each to secretly eat in the KTV room - partyWORLD!

den den..we went to PAO WEN QUAN! chose a private one cos u see we shy larr..

den we went shopping and guess wad we found?! cheap DOVE conditioner at watsons! selling at 40cents (singapore sell $1.99 each ok! buy 10 get 1 free though). n i'm still using them till now.. good quality..i loved it! travel size somemore!

but we are like super aunty i know! everyone was thinking these 2 SIAO CHA BO..wth! so excited abt conditioners....dun care! it's not my country i can throw face there..boo!

the budget hotel we were staying at! SMACK right at taipei train station. very cosy and friendly stafff..and breakfast every morning (ends at 11am) so we wake up at 10am everyday, rush through our routine and reach the restaurant at 10.55am! jus in time to b the last order of the morning! =)

on the final hour..we ordered all these food to enjoy this final final day..final final moment...

before we have to rush to the airport and b back to this scary world..

wr nowhere sells ah zong mee sua, private plus sound-proof KTV room, no wen quan, no cheap and yummy food, no shopping, no nothing.

after plucking all my courage,
i finally broke the news to my mama..
i bought alot alot of food back home on monday to make the mood happier..

den i told her that i have a piece of good news..(though it's not happy to her)
that i can go on leave at the end of the month!
and the bad news is..( and it wont make her jus unhappy)
that i'm gg overseas!

then the blackes face appeared!
she appeared really calm.
and only 2 words, "go where?"
i said taiwan!
and she kept very quiet. i bet she was thinking.

after 1 hr, she said,"when u come back, go ur fren's house and stay for a wk.''

i wish to be in Taiwan at the same time as i can b at my company's Sports Day and at the same time at my trainings in the same weekend and my dance class lesson.

i told my mum abt my plans to study abroad..in 3 yrs.
and she tried aggressively to stop it from happening.
i knew it.
for the next 3 yrs, i will expect her showing me all news articles on the dangers in europe.

Ah! that's for telling her early.
so, i have to wait to break the taiwan news to her.

My first 10km RUN!

had to wake up like super early at 6am for the 730am den start race.

so i'm still in the sleeping-mode..

but my mama tio 4-D for my tag number!

on sunday's 4-D, but only got 30 bucks...

the race was special cos we had to run many slopes!

up to mt faber, jewel box and down.

and the slope up was...DISGUSTING!

almost died-ed on the way up.

but the view up there was beautiful! overseeing the sea and forest and houses..

it would b nice to jus laze ard, small chat the day away..

best with some xiang xiang de coffeeee...

so niceee...

omg! but the lucky draw was OMG de lousy.

ytd my colleague and my senior had a small discussion after the manager(boss) left the room.

senior: so u all heard rite, fri will have to work late oso.

colleague: y? this whole week we keep doing the same thing, that no one will go take a look, no one will care even if we agree the figures wrongly. and we keep repeating it jus bcos the client changed ONE figure on the paper.

senior: y lar...but by fri, the client will still change figure. but shd be finalised by fri evening. and they signing accounts on monday. so we need to finish the work by this weekend.

colleague: but last yr we had alot of pple working on the same thing, how come this yr only got the 4 of us.

senior: this yr not enuff people for this engagement so no choice.

colleague: not enuff people den the deadline shouldnt be so tight. why did we agree to finish the work by monday?

senior: yalor, but not decided by us. it's the big shots who decide the deadline. so we got no choice oso.

Ben & Jerry's free cone day...

Tuesday is Ben & Jerry’s free cone day all over the world. As my client office is near Plaza Singapura, we went to Cathay to queue for it. The queue stretched from level 2 to level 3 but it did not take us long. We reached the start of the queue in around 15 mins and I chose coffee choco flavour. Lots of people immediately went into the queue again for their 2nd and 3rd cone.
The yummy ice-cream immediately made us feel much better and happier and CHILD-LIKE, not childish. We decided that we wanted to have 7 more cones. 1 each at: tea-break, before dinner, dinner, after dinner, before supper, supper and after supper. Ha..of cos it didn't happened or else I’ll be so fat by now..

thought i would nv have a chance to play and exercise again..
but luckily there was this CPA games amongst the audit firms near sept every year..

finally i felt like life is back again..my colleague kept telling mi she felt like her life is so empty..
i used to feel that too..
n i was thinking abt wad i shd do to make it better..

now that there are different games every weekend..
i felt much better..
i finally felt like i'm back in hall..during the interhall games..with lots of trainings..
from 7am to 11pm everyday..!

floorballl was so fun but each training lapse tooooo long and so i was getting bored again.
so i decided to join netball and basketball..
cos softball haven started yet..

mayb it sounds like alot but they are allllll so fun!!!!
i cant decide which one to give up! floorball is fun, softball is forever fun,
netball is fun and basketball is super fun..
how how how? i wanto try touch rugby and futsal and paintball oso leh..
never play before..

so happy..n i've been gg home early..at 530pm every day..
but from tmr onwards, it won't be the same..cos FINALS is starting!

so we jus sat there the whole afternoon den go home.

it was quite fun! and i managed to stand up on the surf board the first time!
den the 2nd time i was too tired lerrr..ahhaa...

haha..the board was super big and my legs and arms and back and tummy were feeling the strain and it was really a good exercise..

i wanto go again! n so EXPENSIVE!

usually is like one hour cost 90 bucks..ji dan...i wanto b rich.
but this time i only had to pay 20 bucks for 3 whole hours..thanks to KPMG(before recession)..

ytd we were all invited to Orchard Hotel for a small internal meeting (of cos i didnt go cos i got lots of work to do!)

n after that there was an announcement...
that all Seniors and above will have a pay cut..n that's not the most serious..

WE ARE ALL GOING TO WORK FOR FREE from now on...
there is no OT charge from Feb 2009 onwards..
even though i work from 8.30am to 5.30pm officially, if i finish work before 9pm or 10pm, i usually dun charge OT. meaning that 5.30pm to 9.30pm is free labouring.

if i have to work till 11pm or 12am and BEYOND, i get to charge 3 PATHETIC hours of OT, which doesnt transform into $$, but instead, into leave which i can take during off-peak.
NOW, i DUN EVEN HAVE THAT 3 HOURS.
not to mention that now is PEAK PERIOD!
ohhh..n i work on saturdays too...if i work 8 hours to 10 hours on sat or sun, i may get to charge 3 hours if i'm lucky..or mayb not charge at all..

now now now...i really got no motivation and mood to work at all.
not at all. very sian. very very sian. anyone got job anort?
if i get paid like 2.2k only but no need to work OT i oso dun mind lar...weekend no need to work very good leh..

TaiWan Trip (Part 2)

we wento a few places like 太魯閣Tarako Gorge (near Hua Lian) and got a tourguide to drive us around.. 民宿 is so fun! to stay at the local's house n be hosted by them makes it all more meaningful...
up in the Taroko hill, they had wood cavings to show how they danced in a group...
so are we!

the water is really really clear and they say it tastes SWEET...melvin and the rest went to try it but the tourguide say we are supposed to get the CLEAN water from the top of the river..not this part that we are in where EVERYONE wore their shoes in! dumb dumb!

Gosh! look at how high up we are! ehh..n everyone is tightly wrapped except mi..hahaa!

not that that cold lar..i love the weather! not scared of cold air anymore!

walking along the river is a really peaceful feeling..jsu the sound of water and look at the rocks..stop the BORING POSES! ahahha..no more twist!

we are all at the train station having lunch..(travelling from jiu fen 九分)..

yum yum...look at the beef noodles i'm eating..SUPER NICE!! n the meat balls and the yam dumplings(well-known in jiu fen)...SO HUNGRY!!!

this is in jiu fen..jiu fen is a really hugh mountain..so u can imagine EVERYWHERE we walk oso SLOPE..my legs grew so strong! somemore i FELL DOWN..ji dan!

the sea is called yin yang sea(阴阳海) cos there are actually 2 distinct blue..more obvious in the mornings..

we also stayed in min su in jiu fen...so pretty! in one of the rooms there is this swing..so fairytale!

this is the GIRLs' room! woohhh! so pretty! LOVE IT!!!

this is the view from our room! super NICE!! we had tea and breakfast and supper by this view..

didnt wanna leave the place AT ALL!! the guys' bathroom had a bath tub with this view too! i will spend the whole day in that tub man!

went Yang Ming SHan on a super rocky bus...
now i'm quite familiar with the train lines and the bus stations...
this is the valley which produces sulphur..
very SMELLY! i told them not to go over therrrrr!
they still wanto take photo..this is my best pose alr!

the view is quite nice (actually i think it looks nicer in photos)
all i can see is alot of trees only...

we climbed like 30 mins to reach the visitor centre..

AND IT IS CLOSED FOR RENOVATION..wad the!

but..how come i'm not feeling excited? getting more n more emo alr..

i think clubbing on wed nite is quite fun..haha..

anyway i went wakeboarding ytd..under the company's rec club activities..
although we were really late..luckily we made it in time..

n the instructor was damn cute lar! making the time n money worth it..ha! opps..

but...he smokes...well..cant be too perfect sometimes..
stilll.....wakeboarding was really really fun but tiring!!
n every part of my body is aching now!

oh..n fri nite was our unit's christmas dinner at marina mandarin..
the food was not bad but i didnt have much..not a buffet person i guess..

following the hooHA made from fraud cases like NKF and REnCi..
i believe many people like mi are starting to reject making donations to charity groups..

There were a few times that i took those incidents as an excuse to say 'No' to donation tins.
and deep down inside i'm truly am doubtful of where that money has gone to!
show me the accounts and i'll b more than happy to help!

i guess..well..we are humans afterall and we all cant stand the temptation of vitamin M.
although these negative news have passed, i jus cant help wondering everytime someone asks for a donation.

increasingly more and more people are trying to play on our sympathy. Groups use old folks,
paralysed people to walk ard hawkers selling tissue. oh! of cos not forgetting those who have their personal sound system and a keyboard who sing along tunnels and outside malls.

i tot ONE NKF case was enuff..but apparently some more of the charities had been doing the SAME! very disappointed. very.

totally a disgrace..NKF was like a NATIONAL foundation! country based! REnci was like a ray of hope after everyone else lost it. now, WE lost iT again. AGAIN. as for all the rest, i guess it will be some time before people trust and feel safe again. well at least not so soon for mi. all thanks to the GOLDEN TAP! and all the CLIMBING of the building..woahhh! *claps*

okae..after a week of really busy busy work..week of 6th oct..
i even finish work at 9pm on fri 10 Oct..
so shag..didnt even have time to breathe..
n started dinner at Lau Pa Sat..the indication of OverTime..

all the G2s(the sept batch newbies) went for dinner tog at 9.30pm @orchard..
den we decided to sing KTV..till 5am..
my gosh..machiam like trg for peak time OT lidat..but canot claim..

this week is the RESTING week for us..
TRAINING! is the best time of work..
start @ 9am instead of 830am...

at 10am got teabreak..FREE FOOD!got puffs, tarts, buns from polar..
den lunch for min 1.5hrs den finish work at 430 instead of 530pm..
WOOHOOOoooo...n no need go back office after that..

ohh..anyway so all the G2s again very free..
we arranged to play Tennis at a fren's condo..
only had 4 tennis rackets n a court..but 13 of us went..so 9 pple sit there n BOND..

went clubbing n picked up a girl..n they decided to go to a hotel n err..ya...

it's used to describe WOMEN...
so as a log cake in the month of dec..before the 25th dec..
people treasure it very much, like to customise it, pay alot to order it..
(like women before the age of 25, very attractive, lotsa men want them)

after the 25th, between the 26th to 30th of dec..
log cakes are for sale, discount, sold cheaper..
(so like women after age of 25, they faster put themselves on sale..
in case being left on the rack)

the tourguide bought a packet of these kuehs for us to try..
it is wad they eat during weddings..
it's quite nice and not too sweet...i was busy taking a photo of it while others were eating it..
UNTIL my colleague say he found a BABY COCKROACH inside!!

everywhere u go..these pple will b outside ur coach, along the streets..

trying to sell u stuff..they keep pulling ur shirts, knocking the windows and begging u..

we took a boat ride to a riverside village...

they make and sell peanut coconut candies..in USDOLLARS lo..how expensive!
so i'm took over the chef as he is cooking and softening the candy after mixing..

look!!! the whole board is full of bees!! and we had to put our finger through it to get the honey!

NEXT...we went to visit the famous cathedral..but it was so warm there we just wanted to get to somewhere with A/C!

and the post office...everything is in USD lo...hai..wanto chop us..
den the next day we went to a temple..quite nice..but still it is a temple..ha..
den the Vietnam war with the CuChi Tunnels..

tunnels that the Vietnam pple dig during the war underground to protect themselves..

i think they were really small sized cos we had to couch and bend low when we walk inside..

and they say the holes were alr ENLARGED so we could go in..

it was dark and alittle dirty but i could understand y the Americans cant get in..haha..

these were the traps that the Vietnamese had for the Americans..so scary lo..cruelty on both sides..there are like 10 traps altog..eeyEWWW...

we arrived at Ho Chi Minh City on fri morning 9am..
the first stop is the Old Parliament House..

Is the 1st day of work at KPMG...
held at fort canning..it's called the LEGENDS..like a country club..

preetty Boring except for the FOOODDDD...

the day after touching down was rather peaceful..

everything seemed different yet the same..

i seem to have lost everything yet still have everything..

went to eat my 2nd local meal in Singapore and bought lots of OLD CHANG KEE..

promotion!! all old chang kee items at 1 buck each!! till 11 August..

but my luggage remains unpacked in the living room..

guess i'll have to clear my wardrobe first before touching anything..it's gonna be a big change..

i miss shopping at COACH and GUESS already..

from las vegas..we drove to hoover dam..
its between nevada and arizona..

the view on the way is really good...

it's a really big big dam..and vegas is hot like crazy...
when the sun shine on u..my GOD..u rather hide in the CASINOs!

but margarita only 1 dollar..haha..shiok..everyday and night i'll drink one cup of it!

den drove for another 4hrs to grand canyon..

we haven reach hoover dam yet and the view is like woohooo...ha..

the back is like a combination of desserts,lakes and the sky...and small small houses...

trip to boston and LAS vegas!~

visited harvard university and chinatown..

basically didnt do much in boston cos errr..haha..no time..only had 2 days and 1 night..

now i got photos to show that i graduated from harvard...hahha

den went to the domestic airport and took a plane to LAS VEGAS..haha!!

den we waited at the airport for the flight from 4pm to 9pm!

cos they keep saying there was sthg wrong with the plane and jus kept making us wait!

everyone was so ANGRY cos the in charge and the supervisors jus left us there in the lobby waiting..

while we kept ourselves busy watching movies and talking and laughing..tension was building up..

some people even thought it was some reality show..ahah!

den we went to ask the counter and stuff..

and GUESS wad!! we got ourselves free tickets..a free round trip anywhere in US!!

COOL rite??!! haha...

now it's time to go curtain's finally closing

n the morning..errr..not really morning..at 11am..we set off to CentrAL Park..we visited the Conservatory paRk..a Castle..the boat house(in 27 dresses)..

look..this is the view of the big big lake in central park..i would come n jog everyday if my park looked like this...

wento Magic Kingdom..

it was said that if you did not go Magic Kingdom, you have not been to Disneyland..

true as it was..wwe saw the legendary castle..

woohooo...it was beautiful..

al the disney songs keep ringing in my head now..

aladdin, beauty and the beast, mickey, minnie, donald, goofy......

we queue up to take photos with mickey, minnie, cinderella, snow white...

we went to mickey mouse's house and minnie mouse's house!!

we also watched the fire works by the castle... OH MY GOD!

beautiful and awesome is unjustifiable..

it was melts your heart..

when they play the music and display the fireworks..u will jus feel a tin drop of tear in your eye..

it was so touching and everyone watched in complete silence...

Thursday in FLorida...

on wednesday night, we went movie hopping!

we went to Disney's downtown shopping area to watch movie..

it was 10 dollars but we could do movie hopping..!!

popcorn was FREEFLOW..and so is the SODA!

we watched kungfu PAndA, SeX and The CitY and HanCoCk..

oh man! SingaPorE shd have movIe hopping..it's sooooooooo fun... we spend 4hrs there..hahaha!!

we wento DisneylanD for free..haa..cos my sis is working there..on GIP..
so she signed us in for free..but we cant visit Magic Kingdom..
we started with animal kingdom..where my sis works...
entrance of animal kingdom..
it's 11bucks for parking at any kingdom..cos it's SOOOO big,,u gotta drive ard if u get a park hopper ticket..
took the tram to the entrance of animal kingdom..the carpark is super big!
went with alvin, weijing and james(from left to right)..
Dino! we brought u along on the trip~! beside mi is my sis..and in front of her is her fren janilin..thanks for bringing us in..!

wento take a dino ride..cheap thrill but very entertaining and interesting..i think this is a nice picture cos i look nice in it..haha!

trip to FLORIDA!
Day 1...Sunday...

after ending work on 6th june(the official day)..er..but we applied leave on that day..
so our last day of work is 5th june(errr...but i called in sick again...cos i had to pack luggage..haha..)

we flew off to FLORIDA-the sunshine state(pui! bluff one)
we had 10 luggAGes in total..
so many i hate myself for buying so much for 1 second..ha..
but i decided to buy MORE bags to contain MORE things..haha!!dun CARE!
we didnt sleep the whole night cos i only started packing at 1am..errr..i oso not sure wad i was doing the whole day in hostel..
i was so tired i knocked out while waiting to get onto the plane..UGLY!
waiting for our luggages at florida airport..TIRED tired tired...
we had lunch at DENNY's! first good meal in florida..cos we waited for an hour to pick up our car... so hungry!
oh well..jus trying to show how tired i am..hahaha!!

mi, sandy and calvin..he owns the fries frying area..and like to hide in the cooler and secretly drink milk or orange juice...
brandon, joseph and alex...! we are standing at the backline..the place where we make burgers and fries...
the red thing at the side of the camera..is called a TRAY..haha..
mi wiping the windows...quite fun..and can TONE the arm...haha...

JOHNNY! he is my favourite supervisor! he is taller and cool and cute when he smiles..love him soooooo much! but he got transferred away..so upset..but i met him one day during my break..

this is the fountain machine..so many types of drinks lar! everynight wrap them up, every morning unwrap..seriously abit bo liao..
during our break, me and sandy like to go other restaurants in our commoner clothings and take food...cos we got frens working elsewhere..so we take food for FREE! we like fish and chips, jumbo fried shimps..and we drank martini..haha..

visited the adventure aquarium..it's abt 20 per person..
i hope it's interesting..cos the outside looks kinda boring..haha..

u see isnt the background beautiful!! the bridge on the right is benjamin franklin bridge and it's the only way to get into philedephia..but...every time u go pass it.. PAY TOLL!
soooo cute!! all the penguine..although abit smellie..oppz...
we are invited to touch a shark..haha..a small one of cos..i think has all it's teeth plucked out..haha..

there are hershey museum, theme park, factory, gardens..all under Hershey...WOW!

we went to an old time prison..
it was in the middle of a city but still in its original state..
very nice contrast amongst the new buildings..
it has very high walls to prevent criminals from climbing over it and running away..
it was easy to find cos it is very different..
i think it looks cool...admission for students is 8 bucks only..
everything was preserve at its most original..
and someone had successfully ran away before..out of the thousands who tried..
this old car was outside for display with its windows broken..
cells for those who are punished...
their cell rooms..small area with just a bed and a table..
they stay in their rooms for more than 20hours a day..

okae next! is lunch time! we had lunch at jack's...
they have this Chef's special thing..
u cant choose wad starter, entree or dessert u wan..the chef will decide everything for u..
u wont know wad it is till it's on the table..
so exciting! we ordered that!so the starter came out to be some steak..very nice lei!
main course is grilled pork something..haha..
and of cos they always have bread..with peach sauce and corn cakes..

our first road trip..!
we were greeted by benjamin franklin bridge as we enter into philly...
but it is an expensive bridge ..
everytime u pass it..pay TOLL!
den we wento the visitor information centre..to collect lots of brochures..
it will be my face on our currency sooooonnnn!
opposite the visitor centre is the liberty bell centre...
very historical and nice place to visit..
entry is free!

we had philly cheese steak for dinner...
this JIM's steak was recommended and the queue is super long...

arrived at chicago in the morning..all looking really terrible..ha...

parked the car at a park-n-ride carpark cos parking fees very ex...

we bought a 3-day pass for 12bucks..and their train is 24hours!

we took lots of maps and on the train we were looking and studying really hard..ha...

and not forgetting our favourite past time- GAMBLE!

arrived at CHICAGO station..ha..its downtown so we wento walk walk...

see! we are all pointing at our knees cos it's the DISNEY(this knee) shop!ha..

visited the museum of jeff koon so we tried to be really arty-farty...haha...see..we are so artistic now!haha...

DRAGSTER is the most popular ride in the park..it goes all the way up into the sky, u-turn and all the way down..ha..at 120miles per hour..ha..totally loVE roller COASTERS now!!

day in Kings Dominion Theme Park..

KD rollercoasters..
we applied for the same off days(wed) n went into the theme park to play!(for free)
this is where i work...juke box diners..but it's not open on weekdays..
we tried 2 rollercoasters(excitment rated 4 out of for both)-hurler and grizzly..
must be too long nv sit coasterss alr..
we were so scared and nervous..
but u all shd come n try the coasters overseas..oh man..it is like 100 times better than ESCAPE...
my favourite ride!! the Merry-Go-Round..
there are a total of 14 coasters in the theme park..
we sat on one that is standing up throughout the ride..
and the VOLCANO..one of the very best..is one running at 85mile/hr..super fast..
it hangs u by the top so ur legs are hanging in the air..
this is called The Crypt..it turns u 360 degrees for 6 times..ahha..so fun..
this is the new ride in the park- THE DOMINATOR
it is a 3 min ride compared to the rest which is only 1 min..
it is super super fun!!
it is floorless and lots and lots of ups and downs and circles..i LOVE IT!
we all put our hands up during the ride...wooohooo!!

come n challenge mi to coasters man..65miles/hr is the minimum speed i wanna take..haha..
i'm gg to play again..during all my breaks..ahha!!

BaseBall Match
22 May..Thurs...

we bought phonecards from AT&T..
$5 for 200 msgs..
and the person gave us free baseball tickets..!
the richmond theme is called BRaves..n they are really lousy...hahha..
they deserve to lose lor..haha..
this is the baseball field...specially for baseball games...i itch to play man...I MISS SOFTBALL!!

it's sooooo like cool to have hotdog n chips n SODA while watching the match..haha..we went to try the mexican fast food..and we ordered a chisken burrito and steak sthg la..dunno how to pronunce much less spell..haha..but it was quite nice..haha...
we are going to try Egyptian food next...!

we just keep asking the bus drivers(GRTC) how to go where and where and where..ha..
this is maymount park..a free park with many animals to see..
this house is quite nice right? it is actually with a toilet...!

the rabbit is like looking into the camera!
haha..a pig for all my pig frens..haha..
if u can see..there is a red tail fox in the middle of the picture! haha...

a i-dunno-what name bird..haha..all the birds there are either orphans or injured..so one type only got like one..

the fish is really fat there( like the pple..opps),..and the swans are so near us!
we went cary town to eat at the recommended french restaurant...CAN CAN RESTAURANT..
the menu is in FRENCH so we didnt understand at all..
we kept asking...

he told us the soup is chicken soup(turned out to be mushroom)
he told us the pie was chicken pie(turned out to be egg and bacon)
like..HUH?!
but very very nice..and it cost us like 19 bucks..ha..shared among 3 person..ha..

er..we went for lots of shopping spree everyday ...IT IS SO CHEAP..
forever 21 is having clearance...and the tops i buy are like 2.99 or 3.99 or 4.99..haha!!
so shiok...shop until siao lor!

and we went to regency square and i'm so so so broke now..! can someone give mi some money?? hahaha...i oso bought VS..haha..the shopping is so CHEAP here!

Working...

this is my new uniform cos i just changed restaurant..the name of my restaurant is juke box diner..and they say it servess goood burgers..

it's really nort bad..i ate quite a few..oppz..ha...

we used this metro cards to takes the subs in New York..

the top one is single trips for 2USD..

the bottom one is selling at 4 trips @ 7USD...and if u have 4 people like us..u can jus buy the bottom one and use it all at one time..ha..

i have to wear this on my head when i work..it's kind of funny so i didnt take a photo with it..ha..cant give u all a chance to laugh at mi..ha..

this is my employee ID pass...hafta bring everyday to pass security..they take until my face so big..ji dan...

my first pay check!! only 120 USD ha..
the day we moved to Virginia Commonwealth University, we decided to ask ard and take a bus to Walmart!
the bus driver said take BUS 70 Forest Hill..and i heard and told everyone 74 West Hill..like 70 FOR(74) rest(WEST) hill...ha..they cant pronounce la..nort my fault..ha..
we had Mac for lunch..it's SOOOOOO cheap! the normal size burger is just 1 USD(1.38 Sing).
so many things are 1 dollar..and the drinks are refillable! ahha..of cos we bought only 1 and share..ha..
den we started shopping..Walmart has everything! haha..
haagen-dazz is only 3 USD....anyone want some? haha...woooohhhhhhh!
mayb u prefer ben & jerry's? it's also 3USD(5.2 Sing)...not VERY CHEAP LAR...ahaha...so happy!
i choose this picture cos lidat u wont see how much things we bought..not much not much..we only had to take a cab home and borrow this yellow push cart to get all the stuff to our room..
we spend like 400 bucks in total for the 6 of us..
to give u a clearer idea..we each filled a carrerfour big cart only..ha...
err..this is jus one quarter of the amount of food we bought cos i dun wanna scare u and the one quarter is in my fren's rooom..each room has it's own microwave and fridge..and we are so sick of washing bowls..so we decided that we will buy all microwave stuff..ha..

niagara falls

Visit to Niagara Falls..

on the 2nd day of New York trip, we took a tour to Niagara City's Niagara Fall..
it is on the edge of Canada and USA..so we could see Canada from the Fall..
on the way we visited the Corning Museum Of Glass..
i think it's supposed to b really famous for glass cos the 75% of the people in the town works in the museum and the glass factory..
but we didnt go in cos need to pay MONEY and i don't think we can appreciate the glass..haha..
as usual..we had burgers for lunch...BURgers again..
when i go backk..whoever ask mi out for burgers and fast food will surely be slapped by me..!!
I HATE FASTFOOD...i feel like eating char kway tiao and hokkien mee now..or ccp will be good..or bah kuh teh...hahaha..
the scenary along the way is smoothing to the eye!

we are reaching niagara FALLS!
the 2 smaller falls..
the biggest fall is horseshoe fall...
there is like a sunken city near the bottom of the fall..
we went to take the ship to be really near to the falls..it's called mist of the maid..with a raincoat each cos we will be really wet..
the falls are freshwater..cos i opened my mouth and it's not salty..haha..the ship drove right into the centre of the falls and it's was like raining all around us..so coooolllldddd....
